On Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June 2024 the Houtnacht and Houtfestival took place in Haarlem, The Netherlands. It's an outdoor festival and completely free. The festival also has no fences around the park, no security and no bag control (so you can bring your own food & drinks), to keep the the threshold to come to the festival as low as possible. Because of all this the atmosphere at the festival is always relaxed. Young and old, poor and rich, black and white all mingle without any hassle. Two bands were booked via Sounds of Europe, Pacora Trio from Slovakia and Lenhart tapes from Serbia. Both bands really played very good concerts. Pacora Trio started off in the Grenzeloos Tent, which was nicely filled. The audience really loved their virtuoso play, a mixture between gipsy music and jazz.
